Types of Shipping Guarantee
Without Original Bill of Lading
Indemnity by the Bank favouring Shipping Company to release goods in lieu of Original Bill of Lading.
With Air Waybill (AWB) or Railway Receipt
Bank will endorse the copy of AWB or Railway Receipt enabling importer to take delivery of goods.
With Bill of Lading
Bank endorses the 1/3 Original Bill of Lading that customer receives to take delivery of goods.

How does a Shipping Guarantee support the buyer's transaction?
In International trade, the underlying goods may arrive at the buyer's country before the complete set of transport documents are received and processed through the banking system.
Under such circumstances, a Shipping Guarantee enables the buyer to take possession of the goods.
